What is the difference between MicroStation and inroads?
Inroads is less dynamic and it is harder to learn to use because it is not integrated with Microstation. It is a separate software that works on top of Microstation. Sharing data, however, is easy because it is contained are separate files. There is no need for a data sharing system, like Civil 3D’s data shortcuts.

They are both vertical design software built on a CAD platform. Inroads works with Microstation while Civil 3D works with AutoCAD. Civil 3D is seamlessly built into the AutoCAD interface while Inroads is a separate window. This highlights the first main difference: integration with the CAD platform.

What GPA do you need to get an internship at inroads?
INROADS requires a minimum cumulative GPA of at least a 2.8 to apply and remain in consideration for internships. INROADS accepts the GPA given by the candidate’s current college/university. If your educational institution does not accept transfer GPAs, neither will INROADS.
Does inroads pay for relocation or transportation?
INROADS does not pay for relocation or transportation. Most INROADS Corporate Partners DO NOT provide relocation assistance. INROADS encourages candidates to first consider internships offered to them in their home region for ease of housing and transportation.
